Who we are

Coach Riley is a personal health and fitness coach delivered via Telegram, sourcing training data from Strava. Our contact email is privacy@coachriley.me.

Data we collect

• Name and email address — collected at sign-up to identify your account.
• Telegram handle and chat ID — collected when you send /start to the bot, used to deliver coaching messages.
• Strava activity data — distance, pace, heart rate, elevation, splits, and activity descriptions — imported via the Strava API with your explicit permission.
• Training goals — your goal type, target date, and gym access preference, collected at sign-up to personalise your training plan.
• Physical profile — biological sex, date of birth, and current or recent injuries, collected optionally at sign-up to tailor training load and recovery recommendations.
• Life events — information you share in Telegram conversations that Riley uses to personalise coaching.

Why we process your data

We process your personal data solely to provide the coaching service you signed up for: analysing your Strava activities, generating training plans, sending weekly evaluations, and responding to your Telegram messages.

We do not sell your data to third parties. We do not use it for advertising.

How long we keep your data

We retain your personal data until you delete your account. You can request deletion at any time (see below). After deletion, no personal data is retained.

Strava activity data is retrieved and stored to power coaching analysis and training plan generation. Our use of this data is governed by the Strava API Agreement.

Your right to deletion

You can permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time. Email privacy@coachriley.me and we will delete your account and all associated data promptly.

Third-party services

• Strava — activity data is retrieved via the Strava API on your behalf.
• Telegram — coaching messages are delivered via the Telegram Bot API.
• OpenAI — coaching text is generated using OpenAI's language models (GPT-4o and GPT-4o mini). Your activity data and context are sent to OpenAI for this purpose. OpenAI's API data usage policy applies.
